We provide in-house custom home design services for log homes, timber frame homes, and conventional homes. Customers can choose from standard home plans, modify existing plans, or have a home custom designed to suit their needs and preferences.

Our state-of-the-art CAD (Computer Aided Design) program ensures the accuracy of your log home design along with expediting the design process.

Project Management

It is our mission to make your homebuilding experience as easy as possible. For this reason, we also provide project management services. For the first time homeowner, there are details that are often overlooked during the various stages of construction. With over ten years in the construction industry, we can ensure that your home is built to design specifications and that no elements are overlooked. Appalachian Log & Timber Frame offers “turn-key” construction – when we finish a home, we "hand over the keys," and all you have to do is move in the furniture. We can take care of everything from loft ceilings to bay windows to track lighting – so you don't have to.

We can also guarantee proper quality control of the products and materials that are used in building your home. Our specialized management staff will gladly work with your custom designs to best suit you and your family's needs.

Quality Construction

Appalachian Log & Timber Frame believes that quality must exist in every stage of the building process in order to create a home of excellence. Therefore, we offer the finest in hand-crafted construction. Each house we build, regardless of size, is crafted to meet the individual needs of our customers. All building projects are different, and it is important to treat each home as distinctive as its owner.

Manufactured, run-of-the-mill homes represent haste in production, not quality. We take the time needed to make sure our houses utilize the natural beauty and elegance of the wood . Our homes feature log and timber frame details, including log stairs and railings, exposed beam roof and loft systems, tongue & groove floors and ceilings, and stone accents and fireplaces.

Our log homes are tight fitting because they utilize logs that are milled with a double tongue and grove, to ensure quality construction. They are assembled with "Log Builder," a caulk inserted between each tongue and grove.  In addition, we use 1/2"x 10" stainless steel lag bolts with washers to pull the logs together.  At the ends of the logs we use a pressure treated spline to ensure a tight joint.
